As an Engineering Manager, you will lead, grow, and coach a highly competent team of mission-driven engineers. Your team will directly contribute support our customers and collaborate with other IPS sites , and help IPS to accomplish its mission. Your contribution and performance will be evaluated based on quality and pace of your team’s output. In this role you will work closely with Other IPS site engineers & Design, and other cross-functional teams across the firm to identify opportunities and drive impact. Once you and your engineering team are established, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring that KL offices are running effectively and efficiently. Just as importantly, you’ll work with your team to set goals, foster collaboration, and promote the values, culture, and brand of IPS

You will:

- Have prior experience building out Engineering and design teams at scale
- Contribute to the hiring and development of talented engineers ranging from junior to senior levels
- Have the ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines
- Lead cross organizational projects to ensure teams deliver on time and at a high-quality, by proactively aligning resources and processes, mitigating risks, and by taking intelligent risks
- Develop and implement procedures for the processing of work; develop and analyze proposed strategies and projects; prepare and review engineering reports and letters, including recommendations on action to be taken and related justification; involving engineering related issues.
- Create project plans and drive delivery to milestones and requirements
Drive day-to-day progress of programs and projects while keeping teams informed and engaged at various levels of management
Coordinate with cross functional and cross team dependencies - Communicating changes in project scope or schedule
- Delegate tasks and provide direction to junior staff and designers on architecture, Electrical and Mechanical projects
- Lead the production team to create, assemble and issue client deliverables utilizing Revit
- Perform job site visits to review progress of construction; prepare and issue field reports
- Revise drawings per RFI’s, bulletins, addendums and plan check comments
- Issue documents for bids and permits.
- Implement ways to improve production methods
What you bring:
- 10+ years experience as high-performance engineer, and 3+ experience as high-performance engineering manager in engineering firm
- 5+ years experience in REVIT / BIM
- Diverse experiences in Mechanical, Electrical and Process Engineering
- Demonstrated success in leading, growing, and coaching a small engineering team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to work with other IPS teams
