IPS’s Fremont office is seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineering Intern to help design cutting edge systems for buildings. At IPS, you will serve as a valuable part of our team to help design HVAC and/or plumbing systems for sustainable higher education, science & technology, healthcare, mission critical, and commercial building projects. The fall internship program provides an opportunity for hands-on learning about the dynamic and trend-setting industry of sustainable design. With us, you will take part in design, measurement, analysis, research, and development, and work side-by-side with engineers as they develop the newest and most innovative building systems. Education and Experience:

  • Enrolled in or have completed college with technical degree in Engineering or related field
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with computer editing software (e.g. AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup or Equal)
  • Familiarity with load calculation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confident
  • Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills
