Facilities Commissioning

We are hiring an engineer for commissioning and sustainable consulting who will share their skills and solve some of our clients’ toughest problems with our commissioning team. This position entails the support of multiple commissioning/retro-commissioning projects and energy audits dealing with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and envelope systems for a wide variety of clients and facility types.

Requirements:

• Facilities design or building commissioning experience, preferred
• Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
• Strong skillset with Microsoft® Office, particularly Excel
• Associates or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a building controls related degree. Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
• 3-10 years of experience in a technical consulting field such as facility design, engineering, construction management or related area

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Work with engineering team to develop, install, and commission tech to complete the scope of Digital Transformation projects
• Assist in troubleshooting and tuning of field devices and networks to increase our reliability with customers
• Support and lead activities for project engineers including the following:
  • System architecture and design
  • Industrial Networking
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Testing
  • System/Mechanical Installations
  • Commissioning
  • Customer training
  • Commissioning documents and Final Reports
• Communicate with owners and contractors to arrange and schedule site visits
• Develop Commissioning forms for contractors’ use
• Perform site visits to witness and document HVAC system installation, tests, and start-ups
• Review and analyze energy management system trends
• Assist owners with preparing Owner Project Requirements
• Assist Senior Commissioning Engineer in peer review of HVAC, plumbing, and lighting control plans
• Assist Senior Commissioning Engineer in commissioning the installation and operation of BMS automation systems
• Assist Senior Commissioning Engineer in verifying HVAC systems, lighting controls, and domestic water systems performance
