EXCELLENCE

We uphold ourselves to stringent safety standards that ensure the wellbeing and security of our members and partners.

With years of experience in the industry, we have woven health and safety practices into the very culture and identity of our firm. The guarantee of a safe environment is an uncompromising commitment for all levels of the company each and every day. We have taken the initiative to have our entire project team of engineers and construction managers become OSHA-30 certified and to regularly attend follow-up training sessions. This initiative helps us create a truly incident- and injury-free workspace at IPS.

THE IPS SAFETY PROGRAM

We prevent and embed safe operations into everything we do.

IPS believes in:

  • Emphasizing early injury reporting
  • Assuming proactive measures
  • Employing highly skilled and experienced safety professionals for support, awareness, training, and technical guidance
  • Identifying possible early pre-construction hazards
  • Creating site-specific safety plans
  • Sharing safety expectations with our crew and subcontractors
  • Performing daily pre-task plans
  • Providing safety education and training for all partners and members of IPS
  • Assuming accountability

FROM POLICY TO PRACTICE

Our safety practices begin at design and continue throughout the project’s life cycle.

IPS strives to continually identify and improve health and safety risks through best practice programs, frequently-updated standards, and thoughtful policy creation. Such conventions create a rewarding bridge between the company’s safety standards and its on-site project operations.

With safety fully integrated into every stage of the project, it remains the foremost concern of our entire project team. These efforts usher in healthy work relationships built on trust, ethics, and dependability to create a supportive community at IPS.

PANDEMIC RESPONSE

IPS continues to monitor the spread of various pandemics, including COVID-19. We commit to staying up-to-date on the latest news from credible sources such as the CDC, OSHA, and NC/SC State Officials to ensure the appropriate steps are taken to guarantee our employee’s safety and ensure the best possible service is provided to our clients. As we continue to provide services for projects, it is the health and safety of our members, trade partners, employees, and the general public that remain our greatest concern.

Personal Health & Safety

IPS is taking intentional, creative approaches to keep people safe. Sanitization, hygiene, and stay-at-home policies have been expanded to protect our clients and employees.

Construction Project Safety

IPS’s key focus has always been to provide a safe and healthy working environment on all our projects. We are actively working to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on our employees and operations, while continuing to advance construction projects wherever they are deemed essential by relevant local and state authorities.

  • Zero-tolerance policy for working while sick
  • Specialized third-party cleaning/sanitizing system for high-touch surfaces, high-traffic areas, company equipment, tools, and vehicles
