We are looking for an Architectural Manager that will work closely with our internal and extended project team to create design and
construction documents. The Architectural Manager will have great client management and communication skills to represent IPS professionally for its client portfolio.
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Organize and direct the architectural and/or engineering team to execute work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner
- Provide project team coordination and/or supervision for finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Develop and coordinate drawings and specifications including: program compliance, code and agency compliance, schedule commitments, and product research
- Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
- Provide input to the design and construction schedule
- Communicate the technical implications of design decisions
- Handle project-level verbal and written client communication
- Serve as the primary client liaison to bring schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction
- Actively manage project budget, scope, and schedule; project communications and documentation; and project team assignments
- Develop proposal and contracts; estimate fees; determine scope of works
Education and Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience at an architectural firm or design/build practice specific to architectural/mechanical/process/electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, semi-conductor, or pharmaceutical projects (equivalent experience is also acceptable)
- AIA or NCAARB highly desirable
- Project Management Certification (PMP, MPM, etc.) preferred but not required
- Construction Management, Architectural, or Engineering degree preferred but not required
Competencies and Qualities:
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Field experience is a plus
- AutoCAD and/or REVIT proficiency
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar 3D modeling/rendering software
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows environment
- Detail‐oriented and organized
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to adapt to ever-changing project needs and priorities
- Reliable, responsible, and able to communicate well with colleagues, consultants, and clients
