We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a client-focused attitude and strong technical skills in business. Project experience in high-tech market sectors are preferred. These can include, but are not limited to, sectors such as: pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, industrial, laboratory, and research. Our ideal candidate will have a focused understanding in A+MEP+S design with strong natural leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Collaborate with Principal Electrical authority to ensure compliance with engineering quality levels for assigned projects
  • Oversee development of design concepts to ensure proper application and execution
  • Verify work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings
  • Mentor and support Design team
  • Apply clients’ risk management practices of project engineering
  • Lead the discipline design to produce construction documents that meet project requirements within given schedules/budgets without excessive resources
  • Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering
  • Encourage collaboration to develop the best solutions
  • Apply best practices to set the proper direction of the project in SDs and DDs
  • Manage work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours
  • Write studies and reports for electrical systems on projects
  • Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or limited coordination
  • Evaluate Value Engineering (cost-cutting) items with respect to level of risk
  • Edit and develop basis of design narratives documenting project scope
  • Meet with contractors to review design details

Education and Experience:

  • 7+ years experience in electrical power design or related industry
  • Thorough knowledge of NEC, NFPA, Life Safety, and building codes
  • Experience with design of laboratory environments in preferred industries such as: pharmaceutical, semi-conductor, industrial, research and development, & commercial manufacturing
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (REVIT MEP experience is a plus)
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Registered P.E. is required
