IPS provided complete mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and architectural design and construction services for a Semi-Tool Raider, an automated, high-performance single wafer electrochemical deposition tool. The project included substantial modifications to the new infrastructure and the existing Class 1,000 cleanroom space to support the tool.

The modifications included a new 20-ft trench for all chemical drains and a new mechanical exhaust system which was installed on the roof to support the STL’s exhaust needs. In addition, a custom carbon dioxide fire suppression system was designed and installed for this project.

IPS’s flexibility and skill at managing complex project deliverables was key to the success of this project. In recognition of IPS’s ability to keep pace and deliver a high level of quality, the client continues to allocate additional scope above and beyond the standard tool installation design.
